A massive crowd of fans gathered at the stadium to witness Benzema’s first match at Al Ittihad Club in Saudi Arabia. He had joined Ronaldo in the country and was earning an impressive salary of over 100 million euros per year. Benzema had also officially left his former team, Real Madrid.
On the morning of June 9, Karim Benzema, the striker, made his first appearance for Al Ittihad Club (Saudi Arabia) at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.
The arena, which could accommodate roughly 60,000 individuals, was nearly at maximum capacity.
Following in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema is set to become the next global superstar to join the Saudi Pro League.
Benzema is currently earning around 200 million Euros per season as a player for the defending champions, Saudi Arabia.
Benzema delighted his supporters by clinching the prestigious 2022 Golden Ball award.
