“Assassin for Hire: The Mysterious Hitman Angelina Jolie Allegedly Contracted”

Angelina Jolie once went through a tough time when she felt like ending her life. In a drastic move, she hired someone to kill her. But what led her to make such a decision?

Angelina Jolie has a past that involves struggling with depression. As a well-known actress and public figure, Angelina has always been in the spotlight and garnered attention for both her professional and personal life. One particularly interesting anecdote involves her allegedly hiring a hitman to take her life. While this sounds like it could be a plot from a movie, Angelina’s situation was very real and different from actors immersing themselves in their roles.

Back in 1998, Angelina Jolie took on the role of Gia, a movie that ultimately led her down a dark path. Despite her tendency to push boundaries, Jolie had previously spoken about finding comfort in the idea of death, stating in a 1996 interview with People, “The thought that you could die tomorrow frees you to appreciate life now.” However, when she immersed herself in the tragic story of supermodel Gia Carangi, Jolie found herself becoming increasingly distanced from her surroundings. In fact, she admitted in an Entertainment Weekly note that the similarities between herself and the character were enough to make her fear the impact it would have on her, saying, “Gia has enough similarities with me to think that either it would be a purge of all my demons, or it will really affect me.” Unfortunately, the latter proved to be true, as Jolie’s mental health suffered during filming to the point where she contemplated suicide and even considered hiring someone to end her life.

In an interview with IMDb, Angelina Jolie revealed that she once considered hiring a hitman to end her life. She shared how the guilt associated with suicide and the burden it places on loved ones made her consider murder as an alternative. Fortunately, the hitman she contacted insisted that she think about it for a month. During this time, Jolie’s mental health started to improve, and she eventually abandoned her plans. Interestingly, Jolie credited her award-winning film Gia as the turning point in overcoming her depression. The film received an overwhelming positive response, which boosted her spirits and gave her the strength to move forward.
